During the course of any given year, AIH presents culturally diverse, educational and entertaining programming suitable for the entire family. Our flagship program, the African Festival of the Arts (AFA), is presented during the traditional Labor Day Weekend (Friday to Monday) on the south side of Chicago in Washington Park. The African Festival of the Arts attracts an annual multi-cultural audience of tens of thousands of people. The festival’s audience is cosmopolitan, educated and loyal to the companies and businesses that support this important community festival.
